Frequently asked questions

How long does ocean freight take?

Door to door, plan on about 8 weeks: roughly a week to collect and load, around 5 weeks at sea to Tema, and about 2 weeks for customs clearance and delivery. Your tracking page shows the live ETA.

How do I measure a barrel vs a box?

A standard barrel is a 45–55 gallon drum. Boxes are priced small/medium/large. For loose cargo we price by cubic metre (CBM).

What can I not ship?

See our prohibited items list — firearms, hazardous materials, cash, counterfeits, and more are not accepted.

Who pays the duty?

Ghana Customs (GRA) assess duty on arrival. You choose whether the sender or consignee pays. Our quote shows an estimate only.

Do you pick up from my home?

Yes — door-to-door pickup across the Metro DC area (Zones A–D), Monday to Saturday, in capacity-limited slots.

Can I collect in Kumasi instead of Accra?

Yes. We operate hubs in Haatso (Accra) and Kumasi. Choose delivery or collection when you book.

Do you ship cars?

Yes — from Copart/IAAI and dealers, by RoRo or inside a container. We track the title and towing.

Is my shipment insured?

Insurance is optional at 3.5% of declared value ($15 minimum). Without it, liability is limited per our terms.
